It happened at the store on the 7500 block of Georgetown Road in Bethesda around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, Montgomery County Police said.

The suspect — described as a man in his 20s or 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 150 pounds — entered the business, approached the employee behind the counter and implied that he had a handgun in his waistband, according to police.

The man then demanded money, prompting the employee to take out an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and hand it to the man, who pointed the weapon at the employee and fled.
